- HIT THE TREADMILL
Before Christina starts her workout, she likes to increase her heart rate so that she can carry forward the momentum into her exercises. The singer does a 10-20 minute walk on the treadmill and on some good days, she even likes to run for 10-15 minutes more.
- DON’T AVOID WEIGHTS
Whoever said that weights should be lifted only by men, can go to sleep right away. Your upper body deserves to be toned and flexible, if not muscular and weights go a long way in doing that. Christina works her biceps and triceps by making use of weights from 5 to 20 pounds. She does three sets of each exercise, five times a week.
- WORK THOSE ABS
For Burlesque, Christina had to look extremely toned and yet stylish. She does ab exercises every session without fail. Mind you, what Christina does is not mean feat. She does up to 350-500 reps of sit-ups and other exercises like push-ups and lunges that focus on abs.
- GET ADDICTED
Learn to teach your body to remember to workout everyday or at least 5 times a week. Christina followed this when she gave birth to her son. In fact, she worked out until she was about 8 months pregnant. This gave her a fresh and confident look and it became her habit post-pregnancy as well.

- THE 1800 CALORIE DIET
Being the great singer that she is, Christina needs a lot of energy for her on-stage and off-stage performances. Hence, she needs energy and that is where the 6-day a week diet consisting of proteins, vegetables and whole grains, comes into play. She divides these into 3 meals and 2 snacks. Christina says that ideally she takes in 1800 calories in the form of a healthy diet every day.
- NEVER DEPRIVE YOURSELF
The Moulin Rouge singer believes that keeping herself away from the things she likes to eat, only adds to irregularities in her metabolism. Christina loves fast foods like chili French fries, chicken wings, nachos and cookies like Oreo. She has agreed that she has these foods before stage performances because singing and dancing easily burn off 2000 to 4000 calories in one go.
- BE CONTENT
One of the main ideologies of Christina’s diet plan is that she does not want to change herself. She knows what her normal body looks like and makes sure she trims some weight if she exceeds the limit. The four-time Grammy award winner believes that being slim is okay for skinny girls because they are like that, but that’s not the case with others who want to look like them.
- ELIMINATING WHITES
Agreed, that Christina eats healthy diet, does regular workouts and even has a positive attitude but she has to sacrifice something to get that fit body. Her secret is cutting all kinds of white diet from her meals and that includes white rice, flours and sugars.
Post-pregnancy, Christina had agreed that breastfeeding also helped her lose calories apart from the diet and workout.
