Dave Navarro Facts

1. While studying in high school, he was a member of the marching band. His future Jane’s Addiction bandmate Stephen Perkins was also in the same band.
2. In March 1983, his mother was killed by her ex-boyfriend. Dave was going to visit and stay with her on the night of her death but at the last minute, he decided to stay with his father.
3. In 2015, he released the documentary Mourning Son, in which he discussed his mother’s murder and his subsequent drug addiction as he sought to overcome the trauma and pain.
4. He got into music after hearing Jimi Hendrix song at the skate park. He subsequently started playing guitar at the age of 7.
5. He has participated in the Celebrity Poker Showdown on a couple of occasions and in his third tournament, he managed to progress to the championship round.
6. In 1998, Dave was fired from Jane’s Addiction due to creative differences. It was also alleged that his heroin addiction had also proved to be problematic.
