1. Jay Photoglou – She dated entrepreneur Jay Photoglou in the past. Jay accused her of cheating on Jeffrey, which became known to her during her appearance on The Real Housewives of Orange County reality-TV series. This forced Gretchen to file a defamation suit against Jay in 2010 because he tried to ruin her reputation, and the judge ultimately gave her a $500k reward in damages. Jay filed bankruptcy to try and prevent paying, but the judge changed his decision to interest-based payment, which meant he would pay more than $800k to Gretchen over a period of 5 years.
2. Christopher Rossi (2003-2007) – Gretchen began dating Christopher in 2003, and in January 2004, the pair got married. When allegations appeared that Chris cheated on her, Chris’s close friends claimed this was not true, and that it was Gretchen that cheated with a neighbor, while he still wanted to give their marriage a chance. It was Gretchen who filed for divorce in 2007 because she already began dating Jeffrey.

4. Slade Smiley (2009-Present) – She actually met actor Slade Smiley before she joined the cast of the reality-TV show, The Real Housewives of Orange County. Because he was a part of the show since 2006, it was Slade who recommended her for an interview with the producers in 2008, and Gretchen joined after she received encouragement from her then-fiancé Jeff. After she broke off the engagement to Jeff, she began dating Slade in 2009. In 2013, after 4 years of being together, the two got engaged. In 2015, Gretchen enrolled in an IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) program, and on December 17, 2018, the couple announced they managed to conceive through the treatment, and that they were expecting a child in July 2019. Gretchen added that their child was a fighter right from the get-go, because she “self-corrected herself in the embryonic state, going from 2 to 5 cells, which is not genetically sound, but then went back to 4.” Slade and Gretchen also organized a very lavish gender reveal party in February 2019, where they revealed their kid is a daughter. Following the party, the couple announced their daughter would be named Skylar Gray, in honor of Slade’s own son Grayson who was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in 2006 and was undergoing chemotherapy at that time. 5. While trying to conceive via IVF total for the 1st time, Gretchen lost 14 embryos about 6 hours before they were even implanted in her, which left her depressed for a year and a half.
6. Gretchen said that the process of IVF and trying to get pregnant is very arduous and nervewracking because they pumped her full of hormones.
7. As a result of IVF treatment, Gretchen gained at least 10 lbs weight, and got cellulite all over her body, even though she never had it before.
