Kevin Love is an American professional basketball player who is best known for his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).   1. He started playing basketball at a young age. Love watched tapes of Wes Unseld, a former NBA star that played for Baltimore / Washington Bullets. He also trained his bounce passes with a cardboard box.
  2. On an average, Kevin scored 25.3 points and 15.4 rebounds per match during his sophomore year at Lake Oswego.
  3. He was selected for the Gatorade National Male Athlete of the Year. The same year, Love was chosen in the first-team, Parade All-American.
  4. Prior to his commitment to UCLA’s sports program, Kevin also thought to play for North Carolina.
  5. After the 2007-2008 season was over, Kevin was chosen to the first-team All-American team and for the Pac-10 Player of the Year, All-Pac-10 and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.
  6. At the 2008 NBA Draft, Love was drafted fifth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies. He was later traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
  7. After his debut season in the NBA, Love was selected to the 2009 NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He also ended up in sixth place in the Rookie of the Year voting.
  8. During the 2009-2010 season, he was invited to the USA’s National Team mini-camp which was held in Nevada, Las Vegas from July 22 until July 25 (during the off-season).

  10. On January 25, 2012, Love extended his contract with Timberwolves for another four years for a price of 62 million dollars.
