  3. Her first name “Margrethe” was taken from her late maternal grandmother’s first name, her middle name “Alexandrine” from her paternal grandmother’s first name, and her last name “Ingrid” from her mother’s first name.
  4. She and her sisters were raised at the apartments in Frederick VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg and Fredensborg Palace, North Zealand.
