Nico Hülkenberg is a German professional racing driver who participated in the premier F1 tier from 2009 to 2019. While he was at F1, he competed in 2 rounds of the 2015 FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) World Endurance Championship and won the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in his very first attempt. Before he graduated to F1, he had participated successfully in several intermediate tiers, winning the Formula BMW ADAC in 2005, the A1 Grand Prix in the 2006-07 season, the Masters of Formula 3 in 2007, the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2008, and the GP2 Series in 2009.

- Apart from his native German language, Nico is also fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
- He started his career with kart racing and became the ‘German Junior Karting Champion’ in 2002 and won the ‘German Kart Championship’ in 2003.
- As of February 2020, he held the record for starting the most F1 races (177) without reaching the podium. He had broken the previous record (128 races, held by Adrian Sutil) when he had failed to finish the 2017 Singapore Grand Prix.
- When he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in 2015, it was the Porsche team’s first overall victory at the prestigious event since 1998. The feat also made Nico the first active F1 driver to win this event since Johnny Herbert and Bertrand Gachot in 1991.
