Oliver Turvey is a British professional racing driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in the LMP2 category in 2014 and finished in 2nd place in the event in the following year. He had also finished as a runner-up in the 2006 Formula BMW UK series and the 2008 British Formula 3 Championship and stood in 3rd place in the 2013 European Le Mans Series. Oliver started competing in the all-electric Formula E championship from the 2014-15 season, the championship’s inaugural season. He has also participated as a test driver in the premier Formula One tier for more than a decade after first being selected for the role in 2009.

Oliver Turvey Facts
- He began his racing career at the age of 8, in 1995, with karts and progressed to the British Cadet Championship in 1999 via which he was selected as a member of the English squad that went on to win that year’s Inter-Nation Karting Championship.
- In 2000, he won the Junior Yamaha National Championship after which he competed for a season in Junior TKM. He then won the Junior Rotax British Kart class title in 2002.
- When he finished 4th in the 2003 Zip Formula Great Britain series, he was the highest-placed rookie in that tournament.
- In 2006, he was honored with the ‘McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year’ award. In 2008, he won the ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ award at the Cumbria Sports Awards; the ‘Dunhill Future Champion Award’ at the Goodwood Festival of Speed; and the ‘British Racing Drivers’ Club National Racing Driver of the Year’ award.
