Project Pat is an American rapper, musician, and actor who was formerly a member of hip hop group the Kaze, which has released albums like Kamakazie Timez Up, Kamakazie Times Up Part 2’’, Kami Kaze, and Only the Strong Survive. Project Pat Facts

  1. In the late 90s, he disappeared from the music scene. It was later revealed that he had to serve several years in prison on robbery charges. He reemerged in 1999 with the release of his solo debut album.
  2. While growing up, he used to live at his maternal grandmother’s house as his parents didn’t have their own place.
  3. On February 27, 2001, he released his 2nd studio album titled Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Workin and it consists of songs like Cheese and Dope, North North, So Hi (ft. Lord Infamous), Whole Lotta Weed, Aggravated Robbery, and We Can Get Gangsta. The album peaked at number #1 on the US Independent Albums (Billboard) chart, at number #2 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart, and at number #4 on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as was certified ‘Gold’ by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
  4. In 2001, just after the release of his album, Mista Don’t Play, he was charged by the authorities with parole violation. He was also handed a four-year prison sentence after the cops had found illegal weapons in her vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
  5. His first exposure to music was at his maternal grandmother’s house. A cousin of his also used to stay there and he used to regularly play Michael Jackson.
  6. While growing up, he wasn’t too interested in becoming a rapper. He didn’t care about it but after seeing the financial success his younger brother Juicy J had achieved, he decided to give it a try.
  7. The day Tupac was killed in a shooting, Pat was in jail. On listening about Tupac’s death, he promised himself that he won’t go out as Tupac did, so upon his release, he mended his ways.
  8. He was raised in Cypress Gardens and the crime situation was so bad at that time that he often had to carry guns around with him for his safety.
  9. While growing up, he used to sell drugs and break into stores to conduct robberies.
  10. The drug addicts often used to knock on his window late at night. They even broke the window. His mother thought that someone was trying to break in and got bars on all the windows, which was the inspiration behind his single, Burglar Bars.
  11. He has got the proverb from Bible inked on his arm. The tattoo reads, ‘The blessings of the Lord make a man rich and have no sorrows.’
  12. In December 2006, he released a new album titled Crook by da Book: The Fed Story. The album was ranked at No. 64 on the Billboard 200 chart.
  13. In July 2011, he released another album titled Loud Pack.
  14. In September 2017, he released a new mixtape titled M.O.B.
  15. In 2021, Project Pat was featured on Drake‘s single Knife Talk, which was placed at No. 4 rank on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
