Shayna Baszler Facts

  1. She is a Khun Kru in the Muay Thai boxing association and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt holder.
  2. She first trained under MMA fighter and wrestler Josh Barnett.
  3. Baszler was dubbed by Barnett as “The Queen of Spades” due to her card tricks. She refers to her fans as the “Queen’s Army”.
  4. On August 30, 2014, she made her UFC promotional debut in a match against Bethe Correia, at UFC 177. She lost the match by TKO in the second round.
  5. On August 10, 2017, she made her NXT debut at a house show during which she teamed with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Following her singles debut on August 12 where she conquered Zeda, WWE officially announced that she had signed with the company and had already started her training at the WWE Performance Center.
