  1. When she got enrolled at Liverpool John Moores University, her goal was to become a cinematographer but changed her mind after realizing she wasn’t good at it.
  2. To get into the role she is playing and to prepare mentally, she relies on music so that she can tune her mind to the task at hand.
  3. Claire Foy went for acting after a drama teacher at John Moores University advised her to enroll into a drama school.
  4. For her debut role in the movie Being Human, Claire was noticed by the casting director after watching her showcase at the end of her drama school and asked her to audition for the role.
  5. Claire was selected for her breakthrough role in the miniseries Little Dorrit because of her big blue eyes and her wonderful straight gaze that made her perfect for the role.
  6. At the age of 17, she developed a benign tumor in her one eye for which she had to undergo steroids treatment leading to weight pile-up and bad skin.
  7. Claire Foy was five months pregnant when she auditioned for the lead role of Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown and she started working just four months after childbirth.
  8. Due to financial struggles, Claire had to do a number of menial jobs while studying at university to pay her fees.
