AJ Dillon studied at New London High School, a high school located in New London, Connecticut. He then attended Lawrence Academy at Groton, a private, nonsectarian, coeducational college preparatory boarding school located in Groton, Massachusetts. During his time there, he played football for four years and was clearly the focus of the team’s offense by his second year as he rushed for 1321 yards and 21 touchdowns while also starting at linebacker. He rushed for 1,887 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior. He was able to play only 4 games as a senior due to a broken leg but still managed to rush for 635 yards with 12 touchdowns.
He then got enrolled at Boston College (BC), a private Jesuit research university in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
