Amy Morton is an American actress and director who is best known for having been cast as Sergeant Trudy Platt in the shows Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Justice. Amy Morton made her theatrical film debut as Ann in the romantic comedy-drama film, Straight Talk, in 1992 and her breakthrough role came as Kara Bingham after she was cast as George Clooney’s character’s sister in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama film, Up in the Air, in 2009. It was directed by Jason Reitman and was named the “Best Picture of 2009” by the National Board of Review and the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association.
