Drew Pinsky is an American media personality, internist, and addiction medicine specialist who is best known for hosting the long-running, nationally syndicated radio talk show named Loveline (1984-2016). He has hosted/presented several TV shows such as Dr. Drew On Call (2011-2016), Lifechangers (2011-2012), Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008-2012), S*x Rehab with Dr. Drew (2009), and Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House (2009-2010). 1. While studying at the University of Southern California, Drew had served his residency in internal medicine at USC County Hospital in Los Angeles. He had later become the chief resident at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena before moving into private practice.
2. He had once been featured in a campaign for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), with his dogs, that had promoted the spaying and neutering of pets.
3. An asteroid that was discovered in February 1987 was named ‘4536 Drewpinsky’ later that year, in his honor.
