Hodgy is an American rapper and record producer best known for being the founding member of the influential hip-hop collective, Odd Future. He is also one-half of the rap duo, MellowHype. Best Known For
- Being the founding member of the popular hip-hop collective, Odd Future. The other members of the collective are Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Syd, and Earl Sweatshirt.
- Being one half of the hip-hop duo, MellowHype. The duo is best known for the commercial success of the studio album, Numbers, which peaked at the 8th spot on US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
First Album
- In July 2011, he released his debut studio album, BlackenedWhite, with his hip-hop group, MellowHype. The album was previously released for free downloads in October 2010 as a mixtape. The July 2011 version didn’t have Chordaroy single as Fat Possum Records didn’t have permission to use Earl Sweatshirt’s vocals. The album sold 6,000 copies within a week of release.
- His debut studio album as a solo artist, Fireplace: TheNotTheOtherSide, was released in December 2016.

- He was previously a member of the former hip-hop group, MellowHigh. The band consisted of Hodgy, Left Brain, and Domo Genesis and they released their only album, MellowHigh in October 2013. In January 2015, it was revealed that the group has been disbanded.
- He was cast in the drama movie, Wolf, along with his Odd Future groupmates Tyler, the Creator, and Earl Sweatshirt. The trailer of the movie was released in September 2013 and was slated to be released in 2014. But, it seems that the work on the movie has stalled.
- Hodgy holds the distinction of being the first Odd Future member to release his solo mixtape, The Dena Tape, which was released in 2009. However, the mixtape wasn’t well received.
- After his mother got remarried, he moved to South California at the age of 9.
- In November 2015, he started a feud with his fellow Odd Future founding member Tyler, the Creator after calling him a fraud during his performance at the Odd Future Camp Flog Gnaw festival. Tyler hit back with his own barbed comments. However, Tyler and Hodgy resolved their differences over the next few days. Hodgy posted a video on his Instagram to confirm that everything was fine once again between them.
- In December 2017, he once again attacked Tyler, the Creator. He took to Twitter to claim that Tyler can’t rap. He then exchanged a few insults with Tyler’s fans.
