- At the age of 11, Laila began studying theatre. Later, at the age of 13, she began lyrical singing.
- She was part of an amateur theater group at Casa Via Magia at the age of 15. Some of her theatre works include A Casa de Eros (1996), Medeia (1997), Roberto Zucco (1998) and Lábaro Estrelado (1999).
- Laila made her debut feature film appearance as Nandinha in I Remember in 2005. Later, in 2011, she was cast in her first TV show as Greice in Internal Affairs.
