Lucy Bronze is an English professional soccer player who has represented, as a defender, top-flight English clubs such as Sunderland A.F.C. Ladies (2007-2010), Everton F.C. (2010-2012), Liverpool F.C. Women (2012-2014), and Manchester City W.F.C. (2014-2017, 2020-Present). With Sunderland A.F.C. Between 2017 and 2020, she had served the French champions Olympique Lyonnais Féminin and won the Division 1 Féminine title (2017–18, 2018–19, 2019–20), the UEFA Women’s Champions League (2017–18, 2018–19, 2019–20), the Coupe de France Féminine (2019, 2020), and the Trophée des Championnes (2019). At the international level, she had represented England at the Under-17, Under-19, Under-20, and Under-23 tiers before making her senior national debut in 2013. She was an integral member of the English squads that won the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship (2009) and the SheBelieves Cup (2019). She had also led the country to a 3rd place finish in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and a 4th place finish in 2019.

While she was studying at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lucy had represented their North Carolina Tar Heels soccer program, the most successful Division 1 team in the country’s history, and had won the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship in 2009.
