Moeen Ali is an English professional cricketer who has represented his country in all 3 formats of the sport (Tests, ODIs, and T20Is), as an all-rounder.   1. He had won the ‘NBC Denis Compton Award’ at 2 different teams – Warwickshire (2004, 2005) and Worcestershire (2009). The award is presented annually to ‘the most promising young player’ at each of the 18 first-class counties in England.
  2. In a 2017 Test match against South Africa, he had become the first England player since Ian Botham to have scored a Test half-century and taken 10 wickets in the same match.
  3. In September 2020, he had become the first Asian-origin cricketer to have captained England in a T20 International match. He had also become the first Asian-origin cricketer to have captained England in any international match since Nasser Hussain in 2003.
  4.
