- Bruce Springsteen (1988-Present) – Patti Scialfa and Bruce Springsteen first met at the Stone Pony, a New Jersey bar, back in the early 1980s. Following Springsteen’s divorce from his first wife Julianne Phillips, they started living together and first resided in New Jersey before relocating to New York for a short span of time. The couple moved to Los Angeles to start a family. Scialfa and Springsteen had officially tied the knot on June 8, 1991, after she gave birth to their oldest son, Evan James Springsteen on July 25, 1990. Their 2nd child, daughter Jessica Rae Springsteen was born on December 30, 1991, and their 3rd child, a son named Samuel Ryan Springsteen was born on January 5, 1994. - She started writing songs at a young age and first worked professionally as a back-up singer for New Jersey bar bands.
- In 1994, she stated in an interview with Lear’s magazine that she only had little talent for anything but music and that she attended college to fuel her ambitions as a performer while also satisfactorily meeting her parents’ expectations.
- In 2014, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the E Street Band.
- Back in college, she used to submit original materials to other artists in the hopes that these would be recorded. Despite her efforts, none of her songs were recorded.
- After college, she worked as a busker and waitress in Greenwich Village. There, she created a group called Trickster alongside Soozie Tyrell and Lisa Lowell.
