  1. He was a 1995 McDonald’s All-American.
  2. He was offered to play with the 77 NCAA Division I schools but chose North Carolina over Florida.
  3. During his sophomore and junior seasons, he helped North Carolina to obtain succeeding ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament titles and Final Four appearances.
  4. On January 31, 2012, he was honored as one of the 35 greatest McDonald’s All-Americans. On February 23, 2012, he was given praises by former U.S. President Barack Obama, who had described Carter’s game as a “huge treat” for himself since his Tar Heels days.
  5. He made his professional career debut in 1998 after he was drafted as the 5th overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft by Golden State Warriors. He was then traded to the Toronto Raptors as the 4th overall pick.
  6. His rookie season was put on hold until January 1999 due to the NBA lockout. He had a solid start and eventually became a fan-favorite with his soaring offensive game which earned him the nickname “Air Canada”.
  7. Following Carter’s rookie season, he went on to become an ultimate star player in the 2nd season during which he averaged 25.7 points per game, the fourth-highest in the league at that time. He then obtained his first NBA All-Star selection and was named to the All-NBA Third Team.
  8. Despite being traded to a different team, Carter has always remained as one of the greatest players to represent the Toronto Raptors.
  9. In April 2014, he was referred by Raptors’ general manager Masai Ujiri as “one of the symbols” of the team. He was the Raptors’ all-time leader in points per game with 23.4 points, having garnered 9,420 points in six and a half years career-run in Toronto.
  10. On August 24, 2018, he signed with the Atlanta Hawks and made his debut for the team in October of the same year.
