- He was brought up in Mexico. He used to cross the border every day as a child to attend his school in Texas.
- Adan had grown up riding horses at his grandfather’s ranch in Acuña and his father was a traditional horseman there.
- Upon the encouragement of his mother, Canto had started performing on stage as a singer when he was 7 years old.
