- To prepare for his role in How to Get Away with Murder, he hired a dialect coach in London before shooting the pilot episode. Then, he worked with another coach in Philadelphia before the start of regular shooting. He had another dialect coach in Los Angeles.
- He did part of his audition for How to Get Away with Murder on Skype. He was in London with the casting director whereas pilot directors saw the audition through skype.
