Till the age of 15, Carrie studied at Beverly Hills High School until her Broadway debut in 1973 along with her mother. Her work on Broadway caused a hindrance to her education and hence, she decided to drop out of high school.

She attended London’s Central School of Speech and Drama for 18 months starting from 1973 where she applied and got accepted at Sarah Lawrence College with a major in arts. She eventually left the course midway without completing her graduation to film Star Wars.

  1. Harrison Ford (1976) – Actor Harrison Ford’s affair with Carrie was kept well under wraps till her book was released. Fisher published her memoir about making the Star Wars movies, in which she revealed that she had an intense and rather tragic affair with Ford when she was 19 and riddled with insecurities, and he was 33 and married. The affair lasted for only 3 months.
  2. Dan Aykroyd (1979-1981) – The actor met Carrie when he was a part of Saturday Night Live. Dan saved Carrie when she was choking on a piece of food. The two were engaged, and Dan gifted her a sapphire ring. They stayed together for a brief period in 1980. Carrie decided to call off the relationship and soon started dating Paul Simon.
  3. Paul Simon (1983-1984) – Actor Paul Simon met Carrie while filming Star Wars. They were smitten with each other and even moved in together at a Central Park apartment.
