  1. Although Danish was born and raised in Pakistan, he is a Hindu with Gujarati heritage.
  2. Kaneria’s family has lived in Pakistan ever since his ancestors settled there over a century ago.
  3. He is considered to be the 2nd Hindu to have played for the Pakistan national cricket team. His cousin wicket-keeper Anil Dalpat was the first to do so.
  4. He played his debut first-class match for the National Shipping Corporation against the Habib Bank Limited cricket team during the 1998-1999 tournament.
  5. As a domestic cricketer, he played a number of teams including the National Shipping CorporationKarachi WhitesPakistan ReservesHabib Bank Limited cricket team, Essex, Sindh cricket team, and Pakistan A cricket team.
  6. On September 28, 2019, Danish started his eponymous YouTube channel. The channel features mostly match reviews and other content related to cricket.

  8. Between 1998–99 and 2011–12, Danish had played 206 first-class matches and had an astonishing 1,024 dismissals to his name.

  14. In May 2010, Danish was arrested on the account of match irregularities that had been done during the 2009 domestic cricket season. However, in September 2010, the investigation was closed and he was cleared of all allegations. Despite that, the “Pakistan Cricket Board” excluded him from the national team matches without a reason.
