  1. She was brought up in East Africa’s Tanganyika before moving to Kenya, where her father worked as a civil engineer. Later, she returned to Britain at the age of 19.
  2. After her return to Britain, she became the secretary of The Ivy League‘s fan club.
  3. Diane was once offered a role in Doctor Who (1963) in 1984. However, she passed it on.
  4. Her role as Sally in the 1980 film The Shillingbury Blowers won her the Best Actress Television Award.
