- Gayatri made her debut theatrical film appearance as Gita in Swades in 2004, alongside the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Kishori Ballal.
- Gayatri made her debut as a video jockey on Channel V India, after which, she left to pursue her modeling career.
- She won the Femina Miss India International title in 2000, and later, she went on to represent her country at the Miss International 2000 in Japan. It had been her childhood dream to compete in the pageant.

Gayatri’s car then slammed into a mini-truck and tipped it over before finally coming to a halt offroad.
- Though Gayatri escaped unscathed, Vivek was said to have suffered facial injuries and also maybe looking at several years in prison if charged with double road homicide under Italian law.
