Jerry Lawler is an American color commentator and retired professional wrestler who is best known for his long-term association with the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.) both as a wrestler and later as a commentator. Before joining WWE in 1992, he had won numerous championships including the AWA (American Wrestling Association) World Heavyweight Championship (once) and the WCWA (World Class Wrestling Association) World Heavyweight Championship (thrice). He had later unified the titles, forming the USWA (United States Wrestling Association) Unified World Heavyweight Championship, a title that he held 28 times. As of May 2021, he had held more recognized championships than any other professional wrestler in history. He was inducted into the ‘WWE Hall of Fame’ in 2007.
