Jim Cummings Facts
- He grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and later shifted to New Orleans. While living in New Orleans, he designed and painted Mardi Gras floats, worked as a riverboat deckhand, and was also a part of a regionally-successful rock band called Fusion.
- He worked several jobs before establishing himself as a voice actor and one of them was managing a video store in the early 1980s.
- From 1991 to 1992, Jim Cummings provided vocals to several characters including Drake Mallard/Darkwing Duck, Negaduck, Herb Muddlefoot, Professor Moliarty, DarkWarrior Duck, and Warden Waddlesworth, in the animated action-adventure comedy television series, Darkwing Duck. For his work on the show, he won an Annie Award in the “Best Voice Acting for Television” category.
- Alongside the likes of Rob Paulsen and Nancy Cartwright, he did voiceover work in the animated sitcom, Goof Troop, which won him an Annie Award for “Best Voice Acting for Television”.
