Jordyn Huitema Facts
- A child prodigy, Jordyn started playing soccer from the age of 4, with the local club Chilliwack FC.
- She scored 11 goals in just 19 games for Canada at the Under-15 level and scored the winning goal in the penalty shootout of the final match at the CONCACAF Girls Under-15 Championship.
- When she scored a goal in an Under-17 game against China in July 2017, she became the first Canadian player to score goals for the Under-17, Under-20, and the senior national team in the same calendar year.
- She won the ‘Golden Boot’ award and was named in the ‘Best XI’ at the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship.
- In July 2018, French club PSG announced that Jordyn would be representing them at the Women’s International Champions Cup (WICC), and even though she was named in the starting lineup for the tournament’s semifinal, she did not sign a professional contract with the club so that could be eligible for college-level soccer. However, once she decided to forego college, in early 2019, PSG signed a 4-year contract with her.
