- She was positioned in the lead for the hit single Ōgoe Diamond by AKB48 which was released on October 22, 2008.
- Jurina made her debut TV show appearance in Majisuka Gakuen in 2010, alongside the other members of AKB48. The following year, Jurina was cast in her first film as Sanae in Waya! Uchuu Ichi no Osekkai Daisakusen.
