  1. As the starting quarterback for his high school, he totaled 4,187 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 2,096 rushing yards, and 28 rushing touchdowns in two years.
  2. Justin Fields was named Mr. Georgia Football by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta following his senior season as well as was named first-team all-state. Also, he was rated as a five-star recruit and was the highest-rated dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2018 by ESPN, Rivals.com, and 247Sports.com. In addition to that, ESPN went on to list him as the top recruit overall while Rivals.com and 247Sports.com ranked him second (after fellow quarterback and Georgia native Trevor Lawrence).
  3. When he was a freshman in high school, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and the condition was made public during his pre-draft interviews with NFL teams in 2021.
  4. During his high school years, he also played baseball.
  5. Justin Fields’s senior year was documented in the 2nd series of the Netflix sports documentary series QB1: Beyond the Lights in 2018. The show’s lead cast has included Tate Martell, Jake Fromm, Tayvon Bowers, Spencer Rattler, Lance LeGendre, Nik Scalzo, and others.

After graduating high school, Justin Fields initially committed to play college football at Pennsylvania State University (commonly referred to as Penn State) but then committed to the University of Georgia in October 2017.   7. He served as the backup to starting quarterback Jake Fromm during his true freshman season at Georgia in 2018.
  8. Justin Fields totaled 328 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, 266 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns during the 2018 season. He subsequently announced his intent to transfer to Ohio State University after Georgia’s loss to Alabama in the 2018 SEC Championship Game.
  9. During his debut season with the Ohio State Buckeyes, he helped lead his side to a Big Ten Championship with a 34–21 victory over Wisconsin as well as a spot in the College Football Playoff.
  10. He finished the 2019 season with 3,273 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, and three interceptions to go along with 484 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns.
  11. The 2020 season was a short one and he finished it with 2,100 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions, he also added 383 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on the ground.
  12. Justin Fields went on to announce on January 18, 2021, that he would be forgoing his final two years of eligibility to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
  13. In the 2021 NFL Draft, Justin Fields was selected 11th overall by the Chicago Bears and signed his four-year rookie contract, worth $18.8 million fully guaranteed, on June 10, 2021.
