Kristy Lee Cook is an American singer and TV personality who first came into the spotlight in 2008 when she had finished in 7th place in the 7th season of the popular singing-based reality TV series American Idol. Before she participated in the show, she had already released her debut solo studio album titled Devoted (2005). Just after the end of American Idol, she had published her 2nd studio album titled Why Wait which had peaked at number 8 on the US Country charts. She has also released an EP titled All Kinds of Crazy (2016). Besides her singing career, she has hosted TV shows such as Outdoor’s 10 Best (2010) and The Most Wanted List (2015-Present). She had starred in the reality TV show titled Goin’ Country (2010-2012) which was built around her passion for hunting and her search for a new recording contract. She had also served on the judging panel of the competition-based reality TV show Wanted: Adventure Host (2011).

- She had signed a contract with RCA Records in 1999 and was the first talent signed to Britney Spears‘s production company. However, RCA later placed her and other younger artists on hold before ultimately dropping them.
