Kumar Varun is an Indian comedian, actor, and writer who is best known as the co-founder of the comedy collective Random Chikibum. He has also acted in numerous comedy skits/sketches and web series including Random Daftar (2016), AIB: Honest Engineering Campus Placements (2017), Laakhon Mein Ek: Season 1 (2017), Half Ticket 2 (2018), Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamare (2018-2021), Mr. Das (2019), and PariWar (2020).

- Kumar Varun spent most of his childhood growing up in Arrah in the eastern Indian state of Bihar; and in the cities of Jamshedpur, Bokaro, and Deoghar in the neighboring state of Jharkhand. When he was about 12 years old, he moved to the national capital of Delhi.
- After graduating from SASTRA in 2008, he worked in Delhi with TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), an Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company, one of the most valuable IT service brands worldwide. He served there until 2011.
- After graduating from the Faculty of Management Studies in 2013, he worked as a brand manager with both the Mahindra Group (an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Mumbai) and DBS Bank (a Singaporean multinational banking and financial services corporation).
- It was around this time that he met Rahul Subramanian with whom he found the comedy collective Random Chikibum and win the OML Comedy Hunt event in 2016. He took to stand-up comedy full-time only in 2017.
