Lil Tracy is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who is known for being a popular figure of the “SoundCloud rap” and underground rap scene as well as for having worked with late rapper Lil Peep. Lil Tracy Facts

  1. He spent his childhood years in Virginia Beach, Virginia and has described the process of growing up saying “it sucked but I love it”.
  2. His parents decided to part ways when he was quite young and his childhood years were spent between the homes of his father and his mother.
  3. Growing up, Lil Tracy used to listen to emo music as well as to southern hip-hop artists who also inspired him to make music.
  4. He started his musical pursuits when he was 15 years old.
  5. At the age of 17, he went homeless.
  6. Lil Tracy relocated to Los Angeles, California from Virginia when he was 18 years old in order to focus more on his career in music. He did not inform his parents about his decision and moved when he was still homeless.
  7. Initially, he started rapping under the name “Yung Bruh”.
  8. He was also a part of the Thraxxhouse collective and released several mixtapes.
  9. Later, Lil Tracy, along with some other members of Thraxxhouse collective, decided to make a new group, the collective Gothboiclique.
  10. It was through the collective Gothboiclique that he was introduced to the late rapper, singer, songwriter, and model, Lil Peep. Soon after, the duo started to work on the song titled White Tee from Peep’s mixtape titled Crybaby. It soon caught attention through the hip-hop underground.
  11. In August 2017, Lil Tracy was also featured in Lil Peep’s single titled Awful Things from his debut studio album, Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1. The song was ranked at number #79 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the album remains the only album by Lil Peep that was released during his lifetime.
  12. Lil Tracy left the Thraxxhouse collective in the mid-2016 and, hence, changed his name from Yung Bruh to Lil Tracy as there already existed an artist who went by the same name, Yung Bruh.
  13. Initially, he started releasing his music online and amassed a fan base via SoundCloud.
  14. Lil Tracy’s paternal grandfather served as a history professor at the University of Virginia.
