1. Born to a Jewish father born in Iraq and a Jewish mother born in Algeria, Lior grew up speaking Arabic with his family and friends.
2. After his high school graduation, he had worked as a commando in Sayeret Duvdevan, an elite undercover counter-terrorism unit, and worked there for nearly 4 years.
3. In 1993, he had moved to the United States for nearly 2 years after the completion of his military service. There, he had been recruited by a security firm due to his past expertise and had been hired as a bodyguard for Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger.
4. Upon returning to Israel in 1995, he had worked as a creative director for BBDO, a leading ad agency. He had then launched a TV commercial production company called Kookooruza before deciding to switch to acting in 2003.
