  1. In his senior year at the John Marshall Metropolitan High School, Patrick had led his state in scoring with 37.3 points per game and was named ‘Co-Player of the Year’. He was also selected for participation in the ‘Roundball Classic’, a national high school ‘All-Star Game’.
  2. In his freshman year at the University of Arkansas, 2006–07, he had recorded averages of 13.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. For his performances, he was named the ‘Southeastern Conference (SEC) Newcomer of the Year’ by the Associated Press and the ‘SEC Freshman of the Year’ by the league’s coaches. He had also earned ‘SEC All-Freshman Team’ honors and second-team ‘All-SEC‘ honors.
  3. In his sophomore year (2007–08), he had led his team in rebounds (6.6 per game), steals (1.3 per game), and 3-point percentage (.378). He was second in points (12.1 per game) and 3rd in assists (2.4 per game). For his performances, he was a candidate for the ‘John R. Wooden Award’ (given annually to the most outstanding men’s and women’s college basketball players) and the ‘Naismith Trophy’.
  4. In August 2008, he was deemed ineligible to play in the 2008–09 season due to certain academic issues. It was being speculated that he had secured insufficient grades academically but Patrick had later cleared the air by stating that he had been suspended because of an academic integrity issue on a class paper.
  5. In 2007, he was featured in the documentary film Hoop Reality.
  6. His grandfather, Rheece Morris, had passed away on May 7, 2017, just hours before the 4th game of his team’s Western Conference semifinals against the San Antonio Spurs.
