Philip Rosenthal is an American TV writer and producer who is best known as the creator, writer, and executive producer of the cult-classic sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005). He had written/co-written 21 episodes of the series. He is also well recognized for presenting/hosting the food and travel documentaries I’ll Have What Phil’s Having (2015) and Somebody Feed Phil (2018, 2020). Both series revolved around him traveling to locations around the world to explore their food culture.

  1. In April 2000, Philip had directed the then-President Bill Clinton in a White House Correspondents’ Dinner video, which had earned wide critical acclaim.
  2. He had co-written the 9/11 telethon America: A Tribute to Heroes, a benefit concert that was conceptualized and created by the heads of the 4 major American broadcast networks – Fox, ABC, NBC, and CBS. The show was aired simultaneously on all 4 networks and had won the prestigious Peabody Award.
  3. In October 2006, he had released a book titled You’re Lucky You’re Funny: How Life Becomes a Sitcom, which depicts how events in his life led to the success of his TV show Everybody Loves Raymond.
