Ray Lewis is an American former professional football player who is best known for his career as a middle linebacker with the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). He used to play college football for the Miami Hurricanes. In January 2013, he announced his retirement from the sport. During the course of his career, Ray had received several honors such as NFL‘s “Defensive Player of the Year”, “Super Bowl MVP”, and “Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor”.

- Lewis has formed his Ray Lewis 52 not-for-profit organization which offers help to disadvantaged youth from an economic and personal perspective.

In June 2000, both Oakley and Sweeting were released of the charges and no other suspects were imprisoned for the incident.
