Shankar Mahadevan studied at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School (also known as OLPS High School), a school for boys located in Chembur, Mumbai. He then attended Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (affiliated with Mumbai University) in Navi Mumbai and graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering in 1988.
