  1. His father wanted him to become a government official.
  2. He spent his teen years in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Arun Govil shifted to Mumbai in 1975 in order to join his brother’s business.
  4. In 1977, he made his first film appearance as a struggling farmer named Balram in the Hindi-language film Paheli. His co-stars for the project included Satyajeet, Nameeta Chandra, Durga Khote, A. K. Hangal, and Dina Pathak.
  5. Alongside the likes of Debashree Roy, Jayshree Gadkar, Ram Mohan, Vijay Arora, Neelam Mehra, and Ram Sethi, Arun Govil co-starred as Kundan Sharma (an orphan adopted and brought up by Ramprasad Sharma and his wife Laxmi) in the drama film Jiyo To Aise Jiyo in 1981.
  6. He was cast as Govind in the 1983 Hindi-language action comedy film Himmatwala, a remake of the Telugu film Ooruki Monagadu (1981).
  7. In 1989, Arun Govil was seen as Raja Harishchandra (a legendary king of the Solar dynasty) in the mythological drama television series Vishwamitra.
