Sota Fukushi is a Japanese actor known for portraying the role of Gentaro Kisaragi in the Kamen Rider. His parents always wanted him to pursue acting. They were admirers of the Kamen Rider series and made Sota audition for it and he went on to become the youngest actor ever to be a part of the series. Soon after the series, he went onto become a household name and youth icon in Japan doing several other films and series like Koinaka (2015), My Lover’s Secret (2017), Strobe Edge (2015), My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday (2016), and Bleach (2018).

The year 2014 brought in laurels for Sota as he had various projects under him. He was a part of the horror film, As the Gods Will in which he played Shun Takahata. He also gave his voice and became the live-action actor for the character Yamato Kurosawa in the anime adaptation, Say ‘I Love You’. Sota won the Japanese Academy’s ‘Rookie of Year Award’ in 2015 for playing the lead in the serial drama, Koinaka (2015). He also played the lead protagonist in the official adaptation of the live-action popular manga series, Bleach in 2018. He is extremely popular amongst the Japanese audience and has numerous photobooks dedicated to him. Sota Fukushi has won awards like Elan d’or Awards in the “Newcomer of the Year” category in 2014, 38th Japan Academy Prize in the “Newcomer of the Year” category in 2015, and many others.
