Steve Buscemi is an American actor, director, writer, producer, and former firefighter who is best known for his work as a character actor in several movies including Reservoir Dogs (1992), Fargo (1996), Con Air (1997), The Big Lebowski (1998), and Ghost World (2001). He is also well recognized for portraying the lead character of Enoch ‘Nucky’ Thompson in the universally acclaimed period crime drama TV series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014), a performance for which he won 2 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards and a Golden Globe award.

2. Fellow future actor Patricia Charbonneau was his classmate at the Valley Stream Central High School. At the institution, Steve had wrestled for the varsity squad and would regularly be a part of the drama troupe.
3. He was born on a Friday the 13th.
4. When he was young, he had fractured his skull in an accident where he was hit by a bus.
5. Between 1980 and 1984, he had worked as a firefighter in New York City; and the day after the infamous 9/11 terrorist attacks, he had returned to volunteer at the site of the tragedy. He had worked 12-hour shifts for a week, looking for missing firefighters in the rubble.
