- She was brought up in Albuquerque in New Mexico.
- Zión is an openly transgender woman being born as a boy just like her character Isabela in the TV series Control Z, having then transitioned to a girl at a very young age. She has frequently spoken out about LGBTQ+ issues and has been very supportive of the trans community.
- She has pointed out that while Isabella in Control Z was the queen, the most popular girl in school, that was not the case in her real-life where she was a victim of bullying when she was in her teens. Even in her childhood, she was made fun of by the other children who found her weird and she was acutely aware that her true identity did not match the body she saw in the mirror every day. She had to go to the extent of changing her school in the hope of escaping the ridicule of her classmates, but soon her new colleagues began spreading rumors about her.
