- His parents separated when Ali was quite young and he and his siblings were subsequently raised by their single mother. They lived in the projects for some time and Ali and his siblings also lived with other family members.
- Ali Siddiq was around 14 years old when he started selling drugs and was imprisoned when he was 19 for trafficking cocaine. He served 6 years of a 15-year sentence in the Ruben M. Torres Unit in Hondo, Texas.
