1. When he was bought by Burnley from Brentford in August 2015, he became the first player to be signed for around 6 million pounds. The previous club record was half of his transfer fees, which the club has paid for Steven Fletcher and George Boyd.
2. He was introduced to soccer by his maternal grandfather, who was also a father figure in his life. Andre was devastated after he passed away when Andre was 13 years old.
3. On Christmas eve in 2011, he was stabbed in the face while leaving a club in Wolverhampton. The stabbing has left him with a four-inch scar below his eye on the left cheek.
4. He grew up in difficult circumstances and was deeply immersed in gang culture in his early teens. He has revealed that he has seen many of his friends die due to street violence.
