- Caroline found her passion for modeling after she had won the Brazilian edition of the Dakota-Elite Model Look Contest in the past. Then, she moved to São Paulo to work upon her modeling.
- Her career took off after she was spotted by designer Tom Ford just as she was giving up on her passion for modeling. With his help, she made her breakthrough at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards in 1991, where she walked for Gucci.
