  1. He grew up in Seattle, Washington. He later shifted to New York City.
  2. Chad brought to life the character of Anthony in Sweeney Todd at the Signature Theatre in 1999.
  3. In 2008, Chad Kimball originated the lead role in the musical Memphis at the La Jolla Playhouse and played the role in the Broadway production until fall 2011.
  4. After nerve damage sustained during a performance, he took an indefinite leave of absence from Memphis and was replaced by Adam Pascal.
  5. On October 23, 2011, he gave his last performance as Huey Calhoun. Also, for his performance in Memphis, Chad Kimball was nominated for the Tony Award for “Best Actor in a Musical”.
  6. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 in March 2020.
  7. He has criticized some of the COVID protection restrictions, specifically those on churches, claiming in a tweet that the protections were “not about safety. It’s about POWER”. His views created controversies and backlash.
  8. In October 2021, he had sued the producers of the musical Come From Away claiming that he had been fired because of his religious beliefs.
