Chris Jordan Facts
- Chris, at the Combermere School in Barbados, was a classmate of future pop star Rihanna.
- For his performances in 2007, his debut year for the Surrey County Cricket Club, he had won the ‘NBC Denis Compton Award’ which is annually presented to the most promising youngster at each of the 18 county teams in England.
- Born in Barbados and having plied his trade for several years in England, he was eligible to represent both the West Indies and England in international cricket. He eventually chose to play for England and had made his international debut in September 2013.
- In November 2015, he had bowled the ‘Super Over’ (single over tie-breaker) in a T20I match against Pakistan. His stupendous performance had restricted Pakistan to a score of just 3/1 which was easily overhauled by England. This was just the 9th T20I that had ended in a tie, the 6th to have been decided by a ‘Super Over’, and the very first time that the English team was involved in such a match.
