  1. David grew up in Illescas, a municipality located in the province of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain.
  2. De Gea began his football journey at the age of 13 when he joined Atletico Madrid.
  3. He penned his first professional deal at the age of 17 in 2008.
