  1. In the past, she used to do most of her modeling works for free. In 2009, she received one of her biggest breakthroughs after she became a resident model for fashion designer Adrian Alicea and walked for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. As a model, Jackson has also appeared in Vogue España.
  2. Though she grew up with a grandmother that had “station”, Jackson still went through a very traumatic experience including s*xual abuse and bullying.
  3. At the age of 18, she flew to the United States since she was not being accepted as a transwoman by her own family. At the time, she experienced homelessness and turned herself to s*x work and living off credit cards for survival.
  4. In 1993, she was introduced to the ballroom scene. She lived in various houses and settled in the House of Sinclair stationed in New York City.
  5. Dominique has been open about her mental health struggles and released her autobiography called The Transs*xual from Tobago in 2014 following a 13-year writing process.
  6. She has worked for several nonprofit organizations that provide outreach and services to the LGBTQ community.
  7. Jackson was not able to get her green card and undergo gender confirmation until 2015.
  8. In 2018, a man allegedly attempted to rape her while she was vacationing at a resort in Aruba. She reported the incident to the authorities.
  9. Apart from landing a role on FX’s Pose which earned her a GLAAD Media Award nomination, she has also appeared in Call Me, Christopher Street: The Series, and My Truth, My Story: A Caribbean LGBTQ Oral History and Storytelling Documentary Series.
