Emil Sitka was an American actor who is best known for his multiple appearances with The Three Stooges and he was the unofficial “last Stooge”.   1. He lost his father at the age of 12 and his mother was hospitalized and was hence unable to take care of the children. Subsequently, Emil Sitka’s siblings were placed in foster homes while Sitka went to live in a church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Catholic priest for the next few years.
  2. Emil Sitka’s final film role was playing Geeves in the comedy film The Nutt House in 1992. He co-starred in the film alongside Stephen Kearney, Amy Yasbeck, Traci Lords, Barry Livingston, Stella Stevens, King Moody, Joseph Whipp, and Sandra Gould.
  3. Along with Harold Brauer, Emil Sitka is one of only two actors to have worked with all six Stooges (Shemp Howard, Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curly Howard, Joe Besser, and Joe DeRita) on film in the various incarnations of the group.
  4. He died less than a month after his 83rd birthday.
